How we spend summer time at Art School by Marina Krutko
Summer vacation is the most awaited time for schoolchildren. They don’t have to get up early, they don’t have to do homework, and they can spend all their time with friends and generally do whatever they want.
However, any parent wants their child not just to waste their free time, but to spend it usefully. How to help a child choose an interesting business / hobby?
It is necessary to immerse him/her in an active cognitive activity, and now we are not talking about school at all. If you are conscious about the upbringing of a teenager, you probably know that activities should be diversified: entertainment should be alternated with classes, and recreation – with mental and physical workload.
Summer classes at the Art School by Marina Krutko are an exciting adventure. Let us tell you more about how we spend our time in summer.
Summer classes at Art School by Marina Krutko
In summer we have a light program. Children paint mostly creative projects for their own pleasure. This means that there are no academic projects in the program, we do not prepare for further enrollment in educational institutions (other art schools), children just come for additional classes to have a great rest and enjoy their summer.
Summer camp at the Art School by Marina Krutko
We usually hold our camps in June, during the summer vacation. We usually accept children from 9 years old and up, who are studying at our art school. We leave for 3-4 days. The main camp time is spent in a house where we all live together. We rent a house in some picturesque place, where there is beautiful nature around or on the territory of the house there is an interesting yard, or, for example, where there is a nearby park, where then we go to paint. Before and after the trip to the camp we additionally choose some interesting places – museums, parks – which we visit for painting and for general development in art.
Summer Camp 2024: What it was like
This time we started our summer camp program with a visit to a Contemporary Art Museum – Perez Art Museum Miami. The popularity of contemporary art is growing every year. It helps to think broader and go beyond the usual, which, of course, promotes creative and out-of-the-box thinking of children.
The next point of our exciting program was a three-day stay in a house, which was surrounded by greenery, with a very interesting territory from the artistic point of view. What did we do for these 3 days? We drew nature in the yard, made sketches of the interior in the house, drew each other, relaxed and socialized.
To wrap things up, upon returning from camp, we had a walk in the Park – Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. At this time, there was just a dinosaur exhibit going on there. And, of course, we could not miss the opportunity not to draw dinosaurs, you can say, from life. And at the same time we visited the exhibition of exotic butterflies, of which there were more than 40 species. The children were happy!
Summer classes at Art School by Marina Krutko are aimed at pleasant pastime, doing your favorite hobby and developing creatively.
